Aurora Berry-alis

Guys can you feel it?

Autumn is JUST around the corner and I cannot be happier! I know a lot of you are sad that summer is over, so I tried to be very diplomatic with my August color of the month. I didn’t want to stick to a bright summer color, so I chose…

Aurora Berry-alis

I think this is a great summer to fall transition color. It’s a deep pink/purple/brown-ish color. Does that make sense? I racked my brain to find the name of this color, even went as far as to asking my co-workers. With some very specific google searches I came up with: Mulberry. So if anyone asks, the color is mulberry. Now that we have that settled, let me tell you more about this exquisite color.

Aurora Berry-alis is an OPI color part of the Iceland Fall/Winter 2017 collection. OPI describes it, “When the sun goes down, glowing pink lights up the night sky.” I think they’re trying to go for a “northern lights of Iceland” theme and to be honest, if I hadn’t thought about the specifics of the name, it would have gone over my head.

Moving on…what I like about this color is that it is a muted pink and very pigmented so I can make different shades based on the number of coats I apply. One is enough to be honest, which I don’t think I’ve ever said, but it is. I always recommend two or more coats, but it all depends on the mood you’re going with. I put two and as you can see from the picture below, it’s pretty pink.

I really like this color and I can see myself wearing it for the foreseeable future. I hope you like it too!
